# Otello von Giuseppe Verdi mit Krassimira Stoyanowa und Giovanni Meoni

Die bulgarische Sopranistin **Krassimira Stoyanowa** und der italienische Bariton **Giovanni Meoni** übernehmen am 23\. Juni als internationale Stargäste die Rollen von Desdemona und Jago in Verdis Otello. Beide sind regelmäßige Gäste u.a. an der Metropolitan Opera in New York. »Intensiver, ja besser als Stoyanova kann man Desdemona kaum singen,« urteilte die Presse noch vor wenigen Jahren, denn: »... alle überstrahlt der großartige Sopran Krassimira Stoyanovas: eine Stimme voller Wärme und Ausdruckskraft, dabei zart und leicht im Ansatz, unfehlbar intonationsrein, sich verströmend in einem frei schwingenden Vibrato.«

Über Giovanni Meonis Interpretation des Jago schrieb die internationale Presse: »Meoni zeichnete ein äußerst subtiles Portrait des Jago, wobei er sich weit vom allzu bekannten »Verdi-Bariton« entfernte. Sein starkes Credo ließ

Die Inszenierung von **Chris Alexander** gewährt den entfesselten Leidenschaften großen Raum. Unter der musikalischen Leitung von **Dan Ettinger** wird der Festlichen Opernabend zum Erlebnis der Spitzenklasse.
