Tosca by Giacomo Puccini

The combination of powerful drama and Puccini’s glorious music has made Tosca one of the world’s most popular operas ever written.

As its final production prior to the much-anticipated launch of Irish National Opera, Opera Ireland, in association with Theater Lubeck, presents six performances of Giacomo Puccini’s great opera Tosca at the Gaiety Theatre. Staring two of Ireland’s greatest sopranos,

Orla Boylan and Cara O‘ Sullivan alternating in the title role at the head of a wonderful cast of international and Irish singers joined by the Opera Ireland chorus and RTE Concert Orchestra.

Box office is now open and tickets are selling fast:

11th, 13th, 15th, 17th, 19th and 20th of November 2010 at 8pm.

 The perfect Valentines‘ Gift – A date at the Opera!

Romeo et Juliette by Charles Gounod

This new production of the most romantic story ever told, sung in French with English surtitles, stars the celebrated French soprano Nathalie Manfrino and American tenor Michael Spyres as the star-crossed lovers. It runs for five performances at the Gaiety Theatre on:

27 February, 1, 3, & 5 March at 8pm, Matinee Sunday 7th March at 2.30pm

I Capuletti e I Montecchi by Vincenzo Bellini

This concert performance, sung in Italian with English surtitles, gives a different interpretation of the story based on the battle between Romeo and Juliet’s families, the Capulets and the Montagues. Bellini’s exquisite music is sure to bring a tear to any eye!
There will be two performances at the Gaiety Theatre on:

4 & 6 March at 8pm
